To The Teenage Parents Who Broke The Stereotype

“You’re too young to give your child a good life.” “You’re just a child yourself, what do you know about raising one?” “Now you’re going to have to drop out of school.” “Your kid is going to grow up to be your parents’ kid. They’ll end up being the one who raises them.” “There you go, adding to the statistic of teenagers who couldn’t keep their legs shut.” “Your child is going to grow up to be a teen parent too because he/she didn’t have good role models in their lives.” “At your age, you’re still too selfish to have a child. Whether it was to be a cowboy or in my case, a princess, it was highly unlikely that those promises would end up being fulfilled. However as we age, we become more aware of what true life is about and our promises to ourselves start to shift towards more attainable and realistic goals set by experience and observations. Take a look and see how much my, and possibly, your promises to yourself has been completely altered from fantasy to non-fiction. 16. That I would be a true princess. I don’t think this is going to happen any time soon. 15. I’d marry Prince Charming. I’m halfway there. Happily in a relationship to a wonderful man named Travis. 14. I’d own a pet unicorn. Put a horn on a horse and call it Chloe, it works for me. 13.
