Have you ever really thought about why you find a certain person attractive? Why the most desired boy in high school is this big hot-shot that everyone knows, the biggest frat star on greek row is the same guy every freshman is dying to sleep with, or why everyone falls head over heels for a man that really knows what he’s talking about? Why it’s always the bitchiest, most stuck up, or obnoxiously vocal girls guy go for? Confidence is attractive. It’s embedded in all of us to find these types of people desirable. Starting at a young age we’re all taught those that are mean to you are mean because they “like” you or have a crush on you. Young men and women of today’s generations tear themselves down and beat themselves up over not feeling “wanted”, finding reasons such as not being good-looking enough, not smart enough, or
Rules Of The Dating Game
The style of dating has evolved from asking a girl to “go steady” with you, to formally asking a girl if you “may take her out”, to meeting a girl on tinder, to seeing if she’s down to “Netflix and Chill”, and even seeing if she’ll make the first move. There’s nothing wrong with a girl taking the reigns, but society has taken it too far my friends. I don’t think necessarily it’s a matter of “chilvary” but that society itself is forgetting to teach future generations what it means to be a gentleman with technology to blame. The popular usage of social media has changed the rules of dating so intensely, dating is now more of a game than an intimate interaction of getting to know each other, and more confusing than ever. Mix this with alcohol and you realize that you forgot how you all get when you drink together. 10. Hearing every success story and only having stories about out going out. So you landed a summer internship already, got straight A’s, and started a new club on campus? That’s great! I went out 14 days in a row before finals week?
UCF’s Gazoni Family: More Than Just A “No Rules” Fraternity
In the past year word has gotten out that Lambda Chi Alpha at the University of Central Florida had their charter revoked, but refused to let their brotherhood die out and disintegrate like people see happen all the time when chapters are kicked off campus. Resulting in the creation of what is now known as “The Gazoni Family”. If you haven’t yet heard of them, I highly recommend you go stalk all their social media accounts right now. A Freshman Year To Avoid
Before coming to college, we all have the same mindset. We all think we’re going to be the exception; We’re not going to be the ones to let our social life consume us, gain the freshman 15, or not have our priorities straight. Key word is we all think these things won’t happen to us and we wont fall into the stereotypical freshman screw up stories, but we do and without even realizing it. My freshman year specifically is one everyone should avoid having. Now that I have gathered the shattered pieces from the outcome of my freshman year, and my life is in order, I think everyone should take something away from my many mistakes made freshman year. To start off, never set yourself up to major in a subject you were never good at. I started my college career as a biomedical sciences major, when I have always
