10 Things I Will Do in 2016 at The University of Alabama

My first semester at college didn’t go as I expected, so for my 2016 New Year’s resolution, I told myself what I could do that would help me have a better experience. So, here’s a list of things I plan on doing this year at The University of Alabama. 10. Attending more sports events. I didn’t go to no football games last year, and other than the 2 basketball game I went to, I haven’t gone to any sport related events last year.   9. Get out of my dorm. I tend to stay in more dorm throughout most of the week. Sometimes after my class would end I would come back to my room and sit for 15 minutes and go back out to my next class. Honestly, that would make me rush to class or end up late so for now I need to stay out of my room. At

8 Questions We Ask Ourselves When Thinking About the New Year

Just when you thought Christmas came way too fast, it’s time for a brand new year. As New Year’s Eve fastly approaches, everyone sort of goes into panic mode as they reflect on 2015 and the not so distant 2016. And we all experience those same bothersome questions that we feel we have to answer before the clock strikes midnight:   8) “Am I ready for this year?” No. It always go by too fast.   7) “What have I done this year?” You start to wonder whether you’ve actually done anything this year besides binge watch Master of None in two days.   6) “What am I even doing with my life?” Time is just an illusion. When it comes to studying everyone has their own study habits. You may find your friends asking if you want to study at the library or the computer lab, but for some people the best option is to study in private. Whether you need to study alone so that you can concentrate or just because you’d distract other people, here are 10 signs that you’re probably one of those people. 10. You’re the first to volunteer to do anything other than study. If you study with friends and all of you get hungry, you’re probably the one to immediately offer to go get snacks for everyone. Or if someone needs supplies that none of you have you offer to go get it for them. You’d basically do anything to get away from studying and this is the perfect excuse for you to get up and waste time. 9. You get sleepy while studying. If

True Life: I Realized “Home” Isn’t My Home Anymore

During my first year of college I wasn’t used to being away from home or my friends and family so any time I was able to go home I would jump at the chance. It was something that I always looked forward to and would get excited about because I would finally be able to hang out with my friends and family again (and sleep in my own bed). But as the year ended at I found myself at home for the entire summer with the realization that being home wasn’t as fun as I remember. All of my friends had gotten jobs and had gotten used to their lives without me in it so it became harder to try and hang out with them all. On top of that I had gotten used to my life in another state and being busy so often that coming back to a place where I had barely

10 Struggles of Having a Messy Dorm

When you’re in college you’re more worried about class, homework, work, and your social life than you are about keeping your room clean. So, naturally, when keeping your room clean is at the bottom of your list of priorities it can get pretty messy. One thing leads to another and you keep saying you’re going to clean it later, but next thing you know your room looks like a tornado hit it and you don’t know where to begin. If this is a situation you can relate to, then this one’s dedicated to you! 10. When you try to look for one thing and it just makes a bigger mess. You know exactly where everything is in your room (it’s an organized mess, okay?), but when you try to move things around to get to that one thing you need it just ends up making a bigger mess. Now you basically hate
